Watchman™ Device

Watchman™ Device for Stroke Prevention

The Watchman™ device is a minimally invasive treatment option for patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib) who are at risk of stroke and may not be ideal candidates for long-term blood thinner medications. The device is implanted in the left atrial appendage (LAA), a small area of the heart where blood clots commonly form in patients with AFib. By sealing off this area, the Watchman™ device helps reduce the risk of stroke while providing an alternative to lifelong anticoagulant therapy for eligible patients. Dr. Zambito can evaluate whether the Watchman™ procedure is an appropriate option based on your individual cardiovascular needs and medical history.
